Braukmann Backwash Filters

F76S reverse rinsing filters ensure a continuous supply of filtered water. The fine filter prevents the ingress of foreign bodies, for example rust particles, strands of hemp and grains of sand and thus reduces the probability of corrosion.  The appliances correspond to the requirements of current DIN/DVGW specifications.

The filter is divided into two parts, the lower larger section for normal water filtration, and the smaller upper section which is only engaged during reverse rinsing to cleanse the filter.  During normal operation water flows around the outside of the upper section down into lower where the filter is held, then flows through the filter into a central chamber where filtered water flows up and exits.  

During cleaning the system changes to reverse rinsing (this function can be engaged manually, or fully automated).  When activated water pressure pushes the whole filter insert downwards and seals off the outside of the lower section were normal filtration takes place.  Simultaneously this opens the upper section where water passes through previously inaccessible filter, as water then enters the lower chamber it is pushed back through the lower filter from inside outwards i.e. the filter is reverse rinsed with filtered water.  
The F76 range also has Double Spin Technology where turbine blades circulate the water, which in turn rotates a rotor in the upper filter.  This rinses off any particles that have adhered to the upper filter during cleaning.

F78TS flanged reverse rinsing filters are for installations with high water demand.
